Hunnibell Racing > 22nd November 2014, Western Springs

We were lucky to complete the second race meeting of the season due to the weather. Our first heat we started off grid 1. We decided to run down by the pole line which didn’t work in our favour as the surface was rough. We dropped a few positions and finished heat one in 3rd position. Our second heat we started from grid 12 at the rear of the field. There was an incident on the first lap which we were lucky to avoid. This meant a full restart and we lost the few positions we made on the original start but a few laps into the race we were moving forward again. On the last lap we managed to make a pass to finish the race in 6th position. With a 3rd and a 6th position finish in out heats we qualified straight through to the feature starting out of grid position 10. The rain started sprinkling when the feature rolled out onto the track which made it challenging. We dropped a few positions on the start due to getting stuck out wide. There were a few yellows along the way due to incidents but we managed to finish the feature in 9th position.
